Questions, answered
Everything people usually ask before the first session — and anything else, just ask.
Starting therapy
First steps
Book a free consultation through the contact form or by phone. We'll talk for 15 minutes about your goals and fit, then schedule your first full session — usually within a week.
A relaxed conversation about your concerns, history, and what you want to change. You'll learn how I work, what treatment might look like, and what it costs — then decide with zero pressure.
The first ten minutes, maybe — that's normal. Most people relax quickly because the structure carries you: I ask the questions, you answer honestly, and silence is always allowed.
Sessions & process
What happens in treatment
Individual sessions run 45 minutes. Couples and family sessions run 60–75 minutes. Evaluation appointments vary by battery and are scheduled with breaks.
Focused goals often resolve in 8–12 sessions; deeper work takes months. We review progress every few weeks so therapy continues exactly as long as it's helping — and ends with a plan, not a fade.
Yes. Everything you share stays between us except in rare safety situations required by law — imminent harm, or abuse of a child or vulnerable adult. I explain the limits clearly at the start.
